Shoe-making foaming agents are chemical additives used in the shoe manufacturing process to create a porous foam structure in shoe materials. Common types include chemical foaming agents (such as azodicarbonamide, which decomposes when heated to generate gas and foam the material) and physical foaming agents (such as supercritical carbon dioxide or nitrogen, which achieve foaming through state changes under different pressures and temperatures). Different types of foaming agents vary in decomposition temperature, gas evolution volume, and decomposition products. For example, chemical foaming agents have specific initial decomposition temperatures, releasing gas to form cell structures, while physical foaming agents rely on pressure and temperature changes to initiate foaming.

Characteristics

Excellent Foaming Performance: Capable of producing a large number of uniform and fine pores, delivering superior foaming effects to shoe materials and making shoe components (such as soles) lightweight.

High Stability: Stable under specific temperature and storage conditions, facilitating easy storage and transportation. Some foaming agents also maintain stability in different acidic or alkaline environments.

Non-Toxic and Environmentally Friendly: Compliant with relevant safety standards, they pose no adverse health effects under normal use and do not release harmful pollutants.

Strong Process Adaptability: Well-compatible with various shoe materials (such as polymers like PVC, PE, EVA, and TPR), suitable for different shoe-making processes (e.g., extrusion, injection, and compression molding).

Purpose

Primarily used in the production of various footwear, the goal is to improve the performance of shoe materials and enhance wearing comfort and functionality. Foaming reduces the density of shoe materials, lightens the weight of shoes, and minimizes wearer fatigue. Meanwhile, it imparts elasticity and cushioning to shoe materials, enhancing foot protection and shock absorption, thereby providing better comfort and stability during walking or sports.

Application Fields

1.Athletic Shoes: Used in athletic shoe soles to provide excellent shock absorption, assist with bouncing and cushioning during sports, and reduce the risk of sports injuries (e.g., EVA and TPU foamed soles).

2.Casual Shoes: Makes casual shoes lightweight and comfortable, enhancing daily wearing experience by increasing softness and fit.

3.Slippers: Gives slippers a lightweight texture for easy wearing, with some foamed slippers also featuring anti-slip and wear-resistant properties.

4. Leather Shoes: Applied in parts such as the insole of leather shoes to improve comfort and foot feel.
